Earendil's products are built on top of pi. That gives me additional signal with respect to what works and doesn't work in pi. And eventually, some Earendil team members will help with pi work under my supervision and direction. Conversely, I get to contribute to consumer-facing products. Something that's quite new for me, as I've always been more on the dev tools side of things aimed at technical people.
